Stagecoach Lake-Hickman, NE

Here are a few pictures of Stagecoach Lake south of Hickman. If you are interested a more detailed description of the facilities at the lake, click here.









If you enter Stagecoach from the north, there is a handicapped accessible jetty there. There are also a few picnic tables and rest room facilities










There are a few tent camping spots on the north side.













The dam on Stagecoach faces the west.

One of entrances on the south side has a hilltop picnic table with a fire ring. Its very nice up there, you can see across the lake. When our kids were little we used to try to have a hot dog roast every month of the year and we sent one January on this hill top cooking hot dogs. The trees were smaller then and you could see most of the lake.

The boat dock is on the south side This is a "no wake" lake.

Farther west on the south side there is a fishing jetty, fire rings, picnic tables and restroom facilities.

Panama Road goes over the creek that helps feed Stagecoach Lake. Fishing can be pretty good along the creek or under the bridge.

The west side of the lake has a dock that does
not have a driveway leading to it. Its a good
place to pull in your canoes or row boats.

The pull in camping pads on the west side are fairly close to the lake. There are fire rings and picnic tables.

Farther north on the west side is a tent camping only area. Its very nice with shade trees, grills and picnic tables. It runs along the shore and there are a couple of islands not far off of the shore.

We usually have pretty good luck fishing around the islands.

Hickman is the closest town and they have a U-Stop convenience store that advertises park permits, bait and fishing tackle. And of course, they always have the necessary ice and snack items available. In town, there is a Jack & Jill store that advertises bait for sale. This would be a good place to pick up some steaks to grill or hot dogs for the kids. There is also a Subway in town.
